I'm walkin' on sunshine....ooo oo...
I'm walkin' on sunshine.... ooo oo...
I'm walkin' on sunshine.... ooo oo...
and don't it feel good!
So, its been a little quiet here for a while. Life has gotten in the way of sharing what has been going on so now I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you an overview of what our family has been up to the last few months and where we are at in our journey of becoming a family of four!
It's been a few weeks now since school has been out and I am so glad it is. It was a crazy month and a half of May/June and it is wonderful to feel relaxed finally! Year end craziness definitely is a high stress time and now I get to focus on my family, my photography and preparing for our next little one!
We are waiting (as patiently as we can) to hear about our next little one. I find myself walking into children's stores and wondering if I get to buy for a little girl or little boy.... wondering how old our little one will be.... wondering when we get to meet them... wondering when our little one can come home to his/her room. So many wonders but working on trusting that God has his plan in the works...again :) He sure knew what he was doing when he put our little man into our family.
Solomon has been talking every day about his baby sister or baby brother. He is so excited to pick them up and bring them home, give them a zerbert (sp?) and "tuddle" with them.
As we wait, we continue to pray, trust, prepare, fundraise, trust and pray.
Thank you for those of you who have donated, prayed for us, prayed for our little one, encouraged and supported us. We couldn't be in the middle of this journey without you.
If you want to pray for our family here are a few things that we are praying for often.
1. Solomon's paperwork-- He is legally ours but we continue to wait on paperwork. We are waiting for his unabridged birth certificate, his name change so that we can then change his passport and Canadian citizenship paper. We need these before we travel so that he can come with us. Please pray that the paperwork will be quick and efficient so this little man can come meet his baby sister/baby brother in South Africa.
2. Praying for our little one as we wait and as they wait. Prepare his/her heart as we wait to bring them home.
3. Prayer for finances. We believe with all our hearts that this is his plan for our family and so we trust that he will be the provider of what we need and when we need it. We continue to work hard and do what we can to help in this area too. It's been quite fun coming up with different projects and finding out that I am good at different skills that I never knew about. It continues to surprise me what God wants to teach me through this wait.
Thank you for loving on our family and for supporting us in ways you feel you can! It truly does take a village to raise a child. You are our village and you are helping us bring our little one home so THANK YOU!

Spray parks are a weekly adventure.
Picnics have been a blast this summer. Solomon LOVES to be outside and it has been good quality time!
Crafting and driving a train! Love my little mans imagination.
These are just a few of the pictures I hope to sell as prints! This is from Brownsville School... The school that my Grandma used to work at and is very close to her house! Such an amazing place full of incredible memories. I hope to share it through prints.
Leave a comment, email me or contact me if your interested in one of the 3 prints. Many more to come!
My boy...
