Today I had an amazing start to the day.
One of my students called my name down the hallway and was waving an envelope with his mom standing near by. I walked towards him and he said "this is for you." I knelt down and opened an envelope with a card inside. The card was signed by Thread of Hope Inc. and the names of my students family as well as another one. Inside was a cheque, a donation to our adoption. I couldn't hold myself together. Gave my student a hug and a huge thank you to his mom and then went to the washroom to cry tears of joy! God has been blessing us over and over and its amazing to see who is becoming a part of our journey and part of our baby's story.
I went back to the classroom after I gathered myself and her son came up to me with a nickel, 4 quarters and 4 pennies and said "this is for your baby too, I want to help bring home your baby". I couldn't stop thinking of how generous this little boy and his family is.

Reasons to celebrate
We have a few reasons to celebrate this week...
1. My staff (Shaeline) put on a BBQ fundraiser for us last week! I can't believe how much support comes from my staff, students and the community I work in! It's absolutely amazing!!! God is so good and His love endures forever!
2. I have a new nephew as of last week- my sister, Janelle, had her baby boy on Wednesday and boy is he cute!!!

3. My amazing mom planned a retirement party to celebrate my dad!! It was so great to have the whole family up for a wonderful evening of celebration!

4. My handsome nephew turned 4 today!! Happy Birthday to the littlest man of the Sexton family!!! Love you Jude!

5. Run 143 is only 1 month away and we get to support more orphanages and another family who is adopting!!! Check out the website- www.run143.com. Amazing cause!!

6. Today at 3:30pm I opened my email on my phone! There was an email from our agency and the part that I could see said South Africa Program- Official Anno.... I let out a little scream and scared a co-worker! :) I opened it and sure enough it was an official announcement saying that the South Africa program has been approved at the CIC level! This means that visas are being processed and we are now waiting for a phone call!
This is such a different type of waiting and I am just jittery. I can't even imagine if this is how I am feeling now what I will be like when that referral does come! It's amazing answer to prayer and we are so thankful for all of our friends and family who have been praying for us!
