THE call

A few weeks ago I had a blog ready to post about all the emotions I was feeling about a variety of things happening in our lives. I hesitated and decided not to post it. I am thankful for that inner voice because now instead of a mixed up feeling post my next post (this one) is way better!!!

After waiting for 15 months we finally received THE call! I was at our school ski trip and I happened to be on the chair lift when all of a sudden my phone was buzzing. It wasn't the same buzz as text messages so I pulled it out to check. It was our social worker. I went to answer it and held it up to my ear only to realize that I couldn't hear anything because I had my helmet on (with the ear flaps). I hung up telling myself, I will call him back when I get to the top. Well, once I got off the chair lift I pulled out my phone to see that Josh was calling me! I answered it and instantly it was "It CAME!" At that moment my world stopped. We received the call for our second beautiful child!  We became a family of 4 in that moment!

I still had to wait 4 hours before I could even get home to celebrate with my family. Josh and I decided that we would look at pictures separately because 4 hours was impossible to wait and then tell Solomon together when I got home. To say the least it was the worse run of the day (for snowboarding) as I was NOT focused at all. I got to the bottom and with spotty wifi shared the good news with family and some close friends through text. My phone died about 10 minutes into our trip home so it was basically the longest 2 hour drive home EVER!

Once we got home we shared with our handsome son the good news of his sibling! He was a bit reserved that evening but here is how he feels about it now...

He is a very proud big brother!
And if you ask him "Are you excited to be a big brother?"
his response is "I am a big brother!"

This is as much information as we can share until after our court date.           But then be prepared for a bit of an overload!

Thank you for joining us on our journey! If you are interested in helping us continue to fundraise to help bring our little beauty home feel free to donate on the paypal button OR stay tuned for more ways to help out! There will be a few more blogs as we begin to prepare and plan over the next few week so stay tuned!!

be blessed
