Beginner photography--

Slowly I am learning to use my surroundings for pictures. Lighting for me is still something I need to work on and learn more about but after todays photo shoot with my sister and her family I am more excited to get into it! These pictures are taken at the Agriculture building in the tunnel which is one of my favorite places that I have seen pictures be taken. But again--I am still learning how to use lighting to my advantage.  I will look forward to taking more pictures for others in the future but for now here is what I have!

 What a fun family to take pictures for! Even though I am related to them I was quite nervous! I hope that will subside as I get more used to taking pictures for other people!

Thank you Candra and Riley for letting me practice on your family! I hope you enjoy some of the pictures! If not we can always try again :)

Christmas is here!

Well, Christmas is upon us! Lights are up, trees are up and decorated, stores are full of glitter! I love glitter and sparkly things at christmas! I wanted to share two of my favorite photos so far of glitter and sparkle! Christmas to me is truly about our Lord and spending it with family! Family is so important to me and I look forward to spending this holiday season with them! As the first day of Advent is tomorrow it reminds me to slow down in this season, to not get involved so much with the hustle and bustle of the season! Slow down and remember the reason we celebrate Christmas! The birth of Christ! It really is an amazing-- Celebrating our King! What a wonderful holiday! My life and photography...

These first few pictures I couldn't resist! A sweet little girl and I was able to use continuous frame shots so I got a few all in a row. I hope you enjoy!

Photography, as you can tell, means a lot to me! I feel that it will some day be a huge part of who I am. I don't know how it fits into my life right now as I have a full time job that I am still learning and figuring out! I want to give a bit of background to who I am and how I got into photography. I am 24 years old, I graduated with a Degree in Education and am now teaching grade 1. I absolutely love being a teacher and working with children in this area. My photography love developed just a few years ago. I have always loved to take pictures of landscapes, pretty skies, cute kids and family. But just in the past year I have had some tools to increase my quality of picture. Now my next step is to learn my camera, get some experience and maybe even take a class.

Here are a few photos that I have taken in the last little while! These next two pictures were taken at my cousins Bridal Shower! She also made a beautiful bride on the day of her wedding!

So as you can see I am looking for more opportunities to take pictures of people! If ANYONE wants christmas photos done please give me a call as I would love to take your pictures to get more experience!

I just wanted to add these last few pictures that I just love--Waterton is such a beautiful place and easy place to take landscape pictures! If anyone wants a copy please let me know!

Thanksgiving Weekend-- come and gone--

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone and it was wonderful! Unfortunately I was so sidetracked with school that I was unable to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the beautiful leaves and the beautiful colors! I remember this time last year it was snowy and cold. As this weekend began to unfold I realized how much I have to be thankful for! An amazing husband, wonderful family, smiles and giggles from wonderful nieces and nephews, did I mention an amazing husband? :) I just wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces of photography that I have taken this year! I am thankful for friends and family that I am able to photograph. If anyone is interested and wants their photographs done for christmas cards or just because I am still learning but would love to come out with you and take your pictures!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving and is blessed in the year to come! So much to be thankful for and what a great reminder to actually say thank you this weekend! Have a great week!

Been a long time

Well, I am back after finally starting my school year. I have had a stressful beginning of year but I really do hope that more pictures will be updated on my blog soon! I am hoping to take a photography class this year--if anyone knows a good class to take can you please let me know! Soon I will post pictures from the last few weeks that I have taken! So I have decided to discontinue my website and begin a facebook group! I am really all over the place these days but I am looking forward to exploring this new option to get my photo's out there!
