6 months ago we became parents to the most amazing, incredible, funny, goofy, loveable, wonderful, charming, precious, handsome little boy, Solomon Owami Stromberg!
6 months ago we walked out of a court room (with our sick little boy) and it hit me that this baby boy was ours forever!
6 months ago I learned how much I could love another person so incredibly much that I had only known in person for 9 days!
6 months ago we fell in love with our newest addition to make our family 3!
To our beautiful boy,
You make us smile each and every day. You have learned so much since we met you and it is such a beautiful thing to see. You love to copy dadda with words, sounds, actions and you miss him so much when he is at work! You are becoming a picky eater (Yay but hard too :)) but it makes me become more creative so that I can give you what you need! We spend our days together playing, talking, singing, dancing, going outside, going for walks, giggling and so much more! We can not wait to see you continue to grow and continue to learn! We love you so much and could not imagine life without you!
Love, Momma and Dadda
Parenting has definitely changed my way of thinking and living on a daily basis! I always knew that it became child first when you entered parenthood but not until we had one did it truly affect my way of living. He is always at the front of my mind- what is best for him? can he handle that? should we try that? There are these thoughts and more that run through my head every day and I continue to be excited about the adventure of parenthood through the good and hard!
I am helping a friend on a university assignment and it has caused me to go back to before we knew that Solomon was our child. I wanted to share some scripture that carried me through some of the hardest parts of our journey and I will continue to reflect on through the journey of being parents!
"God will strengthen you with his own power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient" ~Colossions 1:11
"I no longer depend on myself for provision but trust in God to provide all things for me"
~1Timothy 6:17
