What's next?

A few days ago we learned that our dossier has officially arrived to South Africa!! We are now into the next stage of waiting! Along with waiting comes anticipation, questions, excitement, fear and so much joy.

When we were waiting for our son Solomon, we did everything in our power to save and keep on top of the financial side to this process. We really could not have done our first adoption without the many gifts that we were blessed with! God placed so many people in our lives that have blessed us in the past and continue to do so not only financially but through support, encouragement and prayer!

Going into our second adoption we have been praying about what we can do and change in our lives as we wait to be able to save and raise the finances we need to be able to bring home our babe. Fundraising has been a a challenge for me: should we do it? should we not? should we handle it ourselves? how does it look? So many questions. There was so much prayer, thought and discussions that went into our decision to begin fundraising to help bring our babe home.

We feel that God calls us as believers to be a community of faith and surround those who need our love and support in a variety of ways. I know that I am not always the best at this but I work hard to love, encourage and support others in different situations!

So, to kick off some fundraising we are starting by creating some art work for babes room!

Puzzle Fundraiser
We have 8 hearts that have been made into puzzles.

If you decide that you want to donate to help us bring our babe home we will put YOUR name on a piece of one of the puzzles. When the puzzles are all filled they will be framed and put into our little ones room so they can see who was part of helping bring them home!

If you want to help us bring our babe home in this way you can use the donate button on the side or contact me if you have other questions.

Big brother keeps talking about his baby brother or baby sister! Our office has even officially changed to the "baby's room!" :)

I will be posting updated pictures of the hearts as they begin to get filled in-- I will mostly post on Instagram but will be keeping this blog updated as well.

If you want to follow my Instagram for the more immediate updates you can find me at: @shaelinefaithphotography.

Garage/Bake Sale
This fundraiser isn't happening for a little while but the prep leading up to it is where it all starts. I have started going through my house (again... as it seems to happen quite often) to see what is needed and what isn't. If you are doing the same and have items you don't want anymore and would like to donate them to our garage sale that would be awesome!
You can contact me and we can arrange drop off or pick up at any time leading up to beginning of May!

We will be combining our garage sale with a bake sale. If you feel that baking is more up your alley and would like to do some for this sale we would be so blessed!

Mark you calendars for May 9 for a great big garage/bake sale!
