Simplify and Refocus

2015 is the year for me to work on simplifying and refocusing my life. There are 4 areas I plan to focus on. I have tried many times to do this a few different ways but I often get overwhelmed, wonder where to start and then never actually start. So this year I decided to break it into categories.

Physical space
Since we are working towards another adoption I plan to clean out our space to what is important, needed and used very often. Then look at whats left over decide if its worth selling, giving away or throwing it out. When I say house-- I get overwhelmed. So instead I will be going room to room and starting with getting rid of 5 items from each room, once I have gone through every area of the house I will go back and try again until it feels just right.

Commitments and Goals
Josh and I were just talking tonight about how I like to be busy so often and doing this and that just to fill time. I am working on simplifying my life and just enjoying what comes. This means also intentional quiet time, being more than ok with staying home and playing, enjoying some quiet moments of family time amongst my messy house and making some hard choices about priorities in our lives. I also have a few goals personally but also with my business. My main goal for shaeline faith photography would be to continue to grow and learn as a photographer but to also grow my business.

Relationships
My goal in 2015 is to make our lives focused more on the relationships with our family and friends. But most of all taking time for my relationship with my Heavenly Father. This is what life is about and I need to work on keeping that a focus! In the past I haven't been good at making intentional time in prayer or scripture but I know that it is so important. This is where cleaning house and simplifying life begins-- making sure that my spiritual health is being taken care of.

Health
Every year I make new goals for my fitness and overall health. This last year was my first year of running a 1/2 marathon and it was hard, amazing and contagious! I often start with some good plans but like others I lose motivation. This year I made some simple goals for myself that aren't going to be as strenuous, which will help maintain these goals.

I look forward to how 2015 will become a life of living my faith, living simple and living
healthy.

How does living more simple look for you?

be blessed.

2014 in review

2014 was a wonderful year! I spent 8 months with my son at home enjoying every minute of being a momma! Of course I always look forward to summer but I actually had so much fun with my boy and seeing his delight in the snow, the puddles, the mud, the mess... it was refreshing! (I also didn't have to go to work in the dark and come home in the dark which I think helped). But to move on to the photo highlight of our year! Enjoy!
